Infinix S5 Pro

The Infinix S5 Pro price in Kenya is around 23,500 shillings. Its features include Android 10.0, a 6.53 inches display panel, 128GB+6GB RAM, a motorized pop-up 16 MP selfie, a Triple 48 MP main camera, and a 4000 mAh battery. Infinix S5 Pro is a Dual SIM smartphone that supports 4G network technology. It was released in 2020, March 13.

AI 48 MP camera

It was only until this phone was released we believed it has a 48 MP, f/1.8 primary camera. Leaks of the phone, however accurate, only speculated its features, this one being the most talked about. Turns out speculations have some truth in them after all. This main camera is the only actual shooter that the S5 Pro has. The other two QVGA low light camera and 2MP lens are sensors. So then every photograph you take will be the pure work of the main camera lens. Even the 1080p@30fps video recording quality. Images look great nevertheless.

Motorized pop-up 16 MP selfie camera

If you recall, the base S5 came with a 32MP front facing camera. Yes this time in a Pro version we see that resolution slashed by half. But this does not in any way translate to diminished or impoverished quality, no not at all. In fact, apart from the gimmick of a pop up selfie, this 16MP lens does quite a better job. Keep in mind good us comparative and not superlative. By the way, you need not worry about its longevity and/or durability. Infinix says it can manage up to one and a half million pop-up and retract motions.

Full View Display

The 6.53 inches screen of Infinix S5 Pro is made of glass. The rest of the phone’s body is plastic. This display is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a fair ~395 ppi density. The second best thing about this display is its screen-to-body ratio thanks to that pop up camera selfie for clearing the way. You will enjoy a full uninterrupted viewing experience on this 19.5:9 ratio panel. Oh if you are curious to know, its best feature lies with the 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. I say this because Infinix has had this perennial habit of slapping on 720p displays. For this reason, we appreciate 1080p and confidently say it was the best move ever.

Infinix S5 Pro performance

It is powered by a Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm) chipset with an Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU. These two unlike its PowerVR GE8320 GPU are an upgrade from its predecessors. I’m curious what the next Infinix S smartphone will have to offer. But what excited me the most is that it comes running the latest version of Android installed in Android 10.0. I’m certain a good number of fans and followers are excited together with me because of this.

Again let us turn our attention to the internal storage and memory. Infinix S5 Pro comes with 128GB of expandable eMMC 5.1 internal storage. It runs on 6GB of RAM. There is a dedicated slot for storage expansion using microSDXC thanks to the 3-in-1 card slot. I think I already mentioned this is a Dual SIM smartphone. That skin you see on top of Android is XOS 6.0.

Battery

The battery of Infinix S5 Pro is a non-removable big Li-Po 4000 mAh cell. It is capable of delivering up to 28 hours of music, 8 hours gaming or 11 hours of video playback or 13 hours straight of internet browsing. It is a decent battery capacity I must say. Get up to a whole day’s usage with it, with ease. But I must shame Infinix for their audacity to include a micro USB 2.0 on this phone.

Infinix S5 Pro is available in two color options. These two are Violet and Forest Green.
