The Galaxy A71 is the successor to Galaxy A70. Some of its key features include 128GB with 6GB RAM, 6.7 inches display, Snapdragon 730 and a 4500 mAh battery.

The Design

We make two observations with the design of this phone. One is that facing you is a borrowed inspiration from Galaxy S10 and on the back is what seems to be a foretaste of Galaxy S11 – since this phone was released before the Galaxy S11. What Samsung has done with the design of Galaxy A71 is smart. See the hole punch camera in the middle top of this phone for example. Then see the L-shaped camera module at the back. Again notice that there is a prism pattern on the back panel of this phone. What a striking smartphone Samsung Galaxy A71 is. This both with the design and its build which is a plastic that mimics a glass finish. For its looks alone this phone is already worth noting.

The Display

Now the view estate here is large dear reader, large. There surely is so much freedom, so much liberty with the 108.4 cm2 view estate on Galaxy A71. Phone screen just keep getting bigger and bigger (this is good) by the day. And this time, we are looking at a 6.7 inches Super AMOLED  panel. Just think about what you can do with this kind of display dear rear. Imagine the possibilities alongside the abilities this phone’s display puts at your disposal. Some of the categories of people who will love it are gamers, those who love to watch videos, browse, edit photos and so on. Basically, this is the every human’s need smartphone with respect to its display. Underneath it, located at the lower bottom is the in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Cameras

You might remember that A70 had a 32 MP, f/1.7, PDAF main camera yes? Well, Samsung Galaxy A71 camera doubles that with an outstanding 64 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/1.7″, 0.8µm, PDAF main camera lens. It out stands both the A70 and itself. You will understand how I mean once you you snap the first picture with it. Present also this time is a 5 MP, f/2.4 dedicated wide macro camera. This one lets you get so close to you subject and it takes unbelievable shots dear reader. The words are unbelievably good photos. The to know that this one shoots 4K videos just ices the cake. With Samsung Galaxy A71 comes also a 12 MP, f/2.2, 13mm (ultra wide) camera lens, a 5 MP, f/2.2, depth sensor and a superb 32 MP, f/2.2, 26mm wide selfie camera.

Performance

Not that I have anything against Exynos chipsets by Samsung but I am ever at peace when I hear a phone rocks Snapdragon. For this reason I straight away was at peace with Galaxy A71 because it has within it a powerful mid range Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730 (8 nm) chipset. Make not mistake. Galaxy A71 may have the same design as Galaxy A51 but it is way much a better performer than it. Looks aren’t deceiving though since A51 is quite something too. Anyway with software experience you shall be among the few Samsung users to unbox your smartphone and get it ready running with the latest software installed. That is Android 10.0 and with the latest skin as well in One UI 2. How nice. There is real value here, almost tangible knowing Samsung with their bad rep with software updates.

Long Lasting battery

When Galaxy A71 was launched the focus was on its Awesome Screen, Awesome Camera and Long Lasting Battery. I will tell you it packs a non-removable Li-Po 4500 mAh battery – that is awesome. And when drained out it can be charged via fast battery charging 25W with the charger provided. No more worrying about if your phone will take you through the whole day. If it is Samsung Galaxy A71, rest assured it will, even to the next depending on your usage.
